Andrez Bergen is a Melbourne-born expat Australian writer, journalist, DJ, muso and photographer who’s been entrenched in Tokyo, Japan, for the past 13 years.
He published the novel Tobacco-Stained Mountain Goat (2011) through Another Sky Press, and then One Hundred Years of Vicissitude (2012) and Who is Killing the Great Capes of Heropa? (2013) via Perfect Edge Books. In addition Bergen has co-edited an anthology (The Tobacco-Stained Sky) and worked as a comic book writer/artist — publishing Tales to Admonish with Matt Kyme. He has also published short stories through Crime Factory, Shotgun Honey, Snubnose Press, Big Pulp, All Due Respect, 8th Wonder Press and Solarcide, and worked on translating and adapting the scripts for feature films by Mamoru Oshii, Kazuchika Kise and Naoyoshi Shiotani.
